Developers and Body Corporate
We’ll work with you from the earliest concept design stages of your new project so you can be sure that installation of your SolaDrive® system fits in with your construction timetable.
For existing buildings, we’ll manage the retrofit design and installation for you. Once the system is up and running you’ll have access to a full maintenance program including a 24-hour/365 day site and roadside service for breakdowns. All vehicle bookings and billing is handled by one of the world’s largest car rental providers in conjunction with experienced local embedded electricity network administrators in the case of a bulk electricity supply scheme.
Hospitality
Hotels, resorts and convention centres all benefit from reduced energy costs at the same time as developing new revenue streams. Our model allows for renewable energy to be used to power both the facilities and transport solutions.
Guests enjoy vehicle share applications whilst staying at the destination, in the knowledge that the electric or fuel cell electric vehicle is powered by green energy derived from the solar system on the building. This service can be ordered at the time of booking and provides the guest with a low cost and sustainable transport solution when compared to vehicle rental schemes and provides the hotel with an additional revenue stream. The hotelier can also provide competitive transfer connections to clients in sustainable vehicles and give the clients the flexibility to use and pay for transport solutions only when needed. This removes the need for guests to book vehicles for the duration of their stay at significantly greater costs and consequently alleviates congestion in the car park.
Education And Health
Education facilities such as universities benefit from the full range of our services. Fuel cell hydrogen buses become the lower cost and carbon neutral alternative to the current diesel-powered vehicles and they are fuelled by hydrogen produced on site through our solar and electrolyser technology. This energy system is also responsible for driving down the cost of living for student accommodation and reduces the energy costs and carbon footprint of the entire campus. Students also benefit from the ability to book shared electric vehicles for their own personal use at a fraction of the cost of owning a vehicle or other ride share schemes and with the added convenience that the vehicles are available on campus.
Health care facilities large and small benefit from the ability to reduce total energy costs and to transition to a sustainable carbon fleet footprint. Patient transport systems range from smaller electric passenger vehicles to fuel cell electric minibuses and buses, all powered from the energy generated on site.
Commercial
Any large flat land areas with existing embedded electricity networks such as shopping centres, industrial parks, airports and taxi hubs provide the ideal opportunity to create solar shade systems in addition to rooftop areas to power the electrolyser and create and store hydrogen. This stored energy can then be used to drive fuel cell electric transport solutions and reduce the cost of energy for the entire facility.
Another key market segment will be State Government owned park and ride stations for train networks. This sector is accessed on a direct approach basis and discussions are ongoing.
Industrial
Industrial enterprises consume significant amounts of energy and usually need heavy goods vehicles to transport their products. Combinations of grid power and gas for the plant operations and diesel fuel for the fleet add up to a significant cost and carbon footprint. Our solution allows the organisation to take a journey to being carbon neutral, at the same time as taking cost out of the operations at every juncture. Starting with a solar system sized for the future, the operation realises immediate cost benefits, whilst the engineering work is completed for the installation of the hydrogen production and storage system to further drive out energy costs over 24 hours, not just when the sun shines. The last step in the journey is transitioning the traditional diesel powered fleet to fuel cell vehicles powered by hydrogen that is produced on site. This last step achieves a logistics cost saving of circa 20% per km driven.
Mining
The mining and quarrying industry has attracted negative press for some time due to its environmental impact. Fortunately, there is now a pathway for the industry to demonstrate its commitment to the environment, through the Sola-Drive and Hydro-drive platform. This platform enables the industry to achieve its corporate social responsibility targets without the need for capital expenditure.
Large scale solar farms built on underutilised assets combined with hydrogen production and storage facilities deliver many advantages. No further reliance on the grid or need for expensive grid extensions. No need to use diesel or gas as fuels to drive plant operations. A clear pathway to hydrogen fuelled transport systems.
All the above come with significant OPEX savings and zero CAPEX requirement and achieve sustainability and corporate social responsibility targets. Larger scale projects may also qualify for Australian Carbon Credit Units.
Data Centres
One of the most significant costs on a data centres profit and loss is power and the most significant concern for the CFO is the volatility of supply and cost of power. Our solution delivers a model that reduces the cost of energy by a minimum of 30% at the same time as locking the price in for an extended period of years, thus fixing price and firming energy for the long term. In green field applications capacity for energy growth can be factored in and the total consumption model significantly reduced through sustainable engineering solutions at the design stage.
Transport & Logistics
Our energy for transport solutions solve several problems, depending on the sector. For trains, the use of hydrogen converted to electrons is used to normalise the electricity network and delivers both cost and performance benefits. This improved performance goes some way to bringing the Australian network up to speed.
In buses and public transport, the transition to sustainability and zero carbon footprint is achieved through utilising green hydrogen as the alternative power to diesel. Additionally, solar arrays in transport hub car park shade systems coupled with electric vehicle chargers allow for community shared vehicles to extend the travelers journey all the way to the office or home.
Large logistics companies are able to transition to green fleet operation at a lower cost per kilometre driven, through our production of hydrogen as a fuel and our partnerships with vehicle manufacturers that deliver double digit savings per kilometre driven based on a lease model.
